This intensive academy-level program provides a comprehensive exploration of the religious, mythological, and magical traditions of ancient Mesopotamia, focusing on Sumerian and Babylonian sources. Students study the historical development of cuneiform, the complex hierarchies of the gods, and the sophisticated astronomical systems that informed ancient worldviews. Through the guidance of five specialist faculty members, the curriculum bridges scholarly analysis with respectful contemplative practice, covering deity archetypes, ritual purification, celestial observation, and the symbolism of the underworld.
